Tom & Julie MacTaggart - MacBrass

I am a professional performer and educator with more than 35 years of experience. I have played with numerous symphony orchestras, big bands, and commercial groups. I have also performed in ensembles that accompany major recording artists, such as Barry Manilow, Bernadette Peters, and the Temptations. I have taught all ages and skill levels.

I teach and perform on trombone and euphonium. My versatility allows me to play classical, jazz, and popular music styles.

I am an Army veteran who served in the U.S. Army Band Program for over 24 years and earned the rank of Sergeant Major. While in the Army, I received numerous awards for excellence as a leader, educator, and musician. I have been fortunate to perform and teach all over the world, including at the Armed Forces School of Music. While serving as the brass department head and trombone instructor, I taught Army, Navy, and Marine Corps trombonists, as well as other brass players.
